Sate Sapi (Beef Satay)

Bahan :
1kg daging sapi haas dalam, potong kotak
100 ml kecap manis
3/4 sdt baking powder
tusukan sate

Bumbu dihaluskan :
10 gr asam jawa, buang bijinya
10 bh bawang merah
5 bh bw putih
4cm lengkuas
3/4 sdt jintan
3/4 sdt merica
75 gr gula jawa iris
2 sdt ketumbar

Cara Membuat :

  1. Lumuri daging dengan bumbu halus, kecap dan baking powder, diamkan selama 3 jam
  2. Tusuk2 daging menggunakan tusuk sate
  3. Bakar hingga matang
  4. Hidangkan dengan saus sambal kecap

ENGLISH VERSION

Ingredients:
1kg beef (rump/sirloin), cut into 2 cm cubes
100 ml sweet soy sauce (ketjap manis)
¾ tsp baking powder
bamboo skewers

Paste:
10 gr tamarind puree
10 Asian shallots (1/2 big red onion)
5 cloves garlic
4cm galangal, finely chopped
3/4 tsp cumin
3/4 tsp white pepper ground
75 gr palm sugar, thinly sliced
2 tsp coriander ground

Directions:

  1. Marinade beef with the paste, sweet soy sauce and baking powder, cover, refrigerate for 3 hours
  2. Thread beef onto skewers
  3. Cook skewers on heated oiled grill (or bbq grill) until browned, turn over occasionally
  4. Serve immediately with ketjap sauce (as a dipping sauce)

To Make the Ketjap Sauce:

  1. Cut into thinly slices: 4 Asian shallots, 5 chillies, 1 tomato
  2. Put in a smal bowl, pour with 2 tbs ketjap manis (sweet soy sauce), mix well
